Declining Standards

Chuck Ponzi June 5th, 2006

Once in a while, we come a telling sign of the bubble market. I have taken a complete posting from Craigslist to show where the money is going when you use a mortgage broker of such high standards.

$1585 / 3br - HOME IN SAN DIMAS

THIS IS’NT A ADD TO RENT THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD PAY TO OWN THIS HOME A MONTH.HOW MUTCH DO YOU PAY IN RENT 900 1200 1700 THATS ALOT OF CASH TO GIVE TO SOMEONE ELSES MORGAGE EVERY MONTH. IM A LOCAL LENDER HERE IN GLENDORA CA WHO SPECIALIZES IN HELPING AVERAGE FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS GET INTO THEIR OWN HOME. GOT BAD CREDIT , NO PROBLEM, I WILL REPAIR IT, DONT GOT ANY MONEY FOR A DOWN PAYMENT, NO PROBLEM, WE WILL ASK THE SELLERS TO PAY SUM OR ALL CLOSEING COSTON THE PROPERTY YOU PUT A OFFER ON. WE HAVE 100% FINACING PROGRAMS AVALIBLE WITH 500 FICO SCORES AND HIGER, BUT DONT WORRY ABOUT YOUR FICO I HAVE PROGRAMS THAT DONT EVEN LOOK AT FICO SCORES, IF I CANT DO A LOAN FOR YOU THEN NO ONE CAN. INVEST IN “YOUR” FUTURE, NOT YOUR LANDLORDS .———-WWW.HOUSETRAC.COM .

To say that this is atrocious, doesn’t even get to the meat of the problem. This is also posted in Orange County’s Craigslist, which if my geography’s correct can only be described in Craigslistspeak as “San Dimas Adjacent”.

Perhaps with their commission, they can go back and get a GED. Please, support our local economy by buying overpriced real estate!

I’m one of them suckers. However, I have my own 20% downpayment with 1/2 million dollar loan. Call me an immigrant, but I work hard too.

God bless America.

I can only imagine what it must feel like to have sold your home, packed up the wife and kids, and moved into a rental while the market keeps rumblin’ on.

OUCH!!

Anyone think current lending practices are about to substantially change to anything NEAR what they were 10 years ago?

Let’s see a show of hands.

I absolutely love it when soft little well-edumacated white boys bitch about how hard-working, risk-taking, funny-talking brown people just got no right to have wot they have or do wot they doin’.

Keep yer chin up - someone’s gotta rent!

Declining standards, indeed. Such atrocious grammer! People like that have no right to occupy the same state as me, much less make more money than I and my well educated renters, all of whom are far smarter than they could ever hope to be.

YOU’RE STEALING OXYGEN FROM MY CHILDREN YOU ODIOUS IMMIGRANT!!

Yes, things truly are different this time.

I absolutely love it when soft little well-edumacated white boys bitch about how hard-working, risk-taking, funny-talking brown people just got no right to have wot they have or do wot they doin’.

It’s interesting that you automatically assumed the ad writer was an immigrant, as if no immigrant can spell or write properly? And the same for me or anyone else, how can you know someone’s color or ethnic background from their writing?

Perhaps the only reason that some sound like rich little white boys is because they think before typing something? Or, is it once again your racial presupposition that immigrants can form a coherent thought?

Presupp wot?

Post it on your landlord’s refrigerator door and maybe someday, years from now, even your family might believe it.

You’re an idiot. You sound like a cheerleader for the crooked mortgage industry.

Alot of people have become a little smarter now that the housing hoopla is over. It was a fad for a while as is everything these days. People were panic driven to buy sub-standard garbage and Lord-like prices. Yes…God bless America for making people so stupid for people who scam them.

Not everyone these days is stupid enough to fall for a “tax break” advantage and put themselves in a 900sq-ft condo for $3000/month + HOA.

LOL!!

Delete one and let one stand.

And that, John Doe, is why you will always be what you are - left behind and entirely irrelevent.

Later days renters!

Nozferatu, calls another person an “idiot”, and then says that people are “stupid”.

Hey Nozferatu, you kind of lose you validity when the FIRST WORD in the paragraph above is misspelled. The words are a (space) lot … now repeat after me … a lot, a lot, a lot!

Not, alot, alot, alot.

I don’t accept personal attacks on other people that include profanity on my blog. This is not a high-school playground.

Anon, you’re confused. “Alot” is a colloquiolism of a lot. Most importantly, it’s a punctuation mistake, not a misspelling. Besides, your spelling is almost as bad as the writer of the “add”.

Why are you defending Nozferau? He is in here calling people names like “idiot”, “stupid” and so on. If this is your blog and you want reasonable dialogue, why would you defend someone calling people names?

If you want new people to come here and participate in your blog, don’t defend the individuals that are out of line.

Just an idea.

“that include profanity”

Seems like anons have a hard time with reading comprehension.

The reason that anon was mad was because I deleted a post that included a substantial amount of profanity. If I had a profanity filter, I would have applied it long ago.

Personal attacks are something that people live with in an anonymous internet. I don’t personally have a problem with personal attacks as long as they are well reasoned.

If someone cannot express themselves without resorting to potty mouth, they can post elsewhere. Otherwise, all posts are welcomed.

noz,
You are an idiotic, whining little white boy who aint got the stones to take a risk. You never have and you never will. Your tomorrow will be exactly like your yesterday and your today except that your failures will be that much more obvious to others and hard for you to ignore.

The least you can do is smile like the good little boy that you are and wave at the jackasses as they pass you by.

Now, wasn’t that nice? No nasty little words there that weren’t already used by others.

In adding to the relevant part of the discussion, lending standards will change. A “10 year ago” time-line is silly in terms of “Presumed Risk”, and how that sets the criteria for (so-called) Standards.

This monster of a world wide credit bubble, is going to do more than just pop a US Houseing Bubble. The Market senses this and the Trend has begun. The world’s sense of wealth and value will change in the next few years. Not to anything it hasn’t before, just a new generation’’s turn.

Wow, there are a lot nasty trolls on this blog. What’s the matter guys, is Bernanke making you nervous? Why don’t you spouting your nonsense on the Ben Jone’s Blog or Piggington’s site? I assure you, you wouldn’t last very long.

Yes, everyone knows it takes big brass ones to “register” so that you are not a, GASP, “anonymous” poster like the anon poster complaining about anon posters.

Posts don’t “last too long” on Pigg or Ben’s blog because they get DELETED or NEVER POSTED, you odious moron.

surfer-x,

why is everybody so angry here??

i wanted to register but i don’t want to have a blog page, i’m not an other so that leaves Anonymous as my option.

anyway i just stumbled on this site so maybe in your next post you could explain the best AND FASTEST way for me to get a moniker.

i really don’t post at blogs allthough i would like to and the other ones i’ve been at i can put a name in without have to go thru to much BS unlike here.

just sayin.

Wow, I’m impressed!! I actually drew the attention of the infamous Surfer-X from the patrick.net site!! Not to mention the use of the word odious. Surfer-X, I actually used to like reading your rants on patrick.net, but I really don’t understand your bitterness anymore. You and I are on the same side here…really. I chose to be anonymous because I don’t really want to give the cretins posting on this site the pleasure of having a moniker to direct vitriol at. Regarding Ben’s and Toscano’s sites, of course I know they delete the profane posts…as well they should. They don’t however delete the posts that at least have some semblence of civility…even if they are a troll in disguise. Of course, those posts are debunked in short order by the regulars there much the same way you dispatched with marin is prime (or whatever his name was) and the other idiot who loved to tell eveyone that makes $160/yr.
