		<description>I agree that gold can not maintain current boom levels nor feed the masses.What they do we look forward to holding dear? rice? tulip bulbs? a patent for alternative energy from mold?
America needs to get back to creating making producting which takes sacrifice and work.</description>

A gold fortune in 900AD is a gold fortune now.

A fortune in spice (pepper once held great value), salt, etc is not a fortune now.  :)

That having been said, I think people are over-inflating gold at present through all this buying.</description>
